For more than 25 years, I have been working with adults to develop new patterns in life that improve physical, mental, and emotional health. I have a mind-body heart approach to working with individuals. This approach focuses on paying attention to the connection between our physical health, thoughts and emotions. When one or more of these is out of balance, the others will also go out of balance. The focus of psychotherapy is to develop healthy patterns of coping that can lead to greater skills in monitoring and modifying the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of your life.
The initial appointment is an assessment to obtain background information on the presenting concerns. At the end of the assessment you will receive feedback on what may be contributing to the problem and recommendations on what may be helpful. If you decide to continue with psychotherapy, we will work together on developing goals for therapy. Progress on the therapy treatment goals is reviewed on an ongoing basis. Each individual is given recommendations on what they can be working on outside of the therapy session.
