Resilience Training

Teen Resilience Program

The Teen Resilience Program is an integrative skills-based model to help students develop self-awareness and skills to enhance social, physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being. This program, especially developed for Middle School and Senior High students, is based on The Chemistry of Joy Workbook and integrates the best of movement, nutrition, and the psychology and practice of mindfulness to help students to develop resiliency skills.

Teenagers often feel overwhelmed with the challenges of their life. This can lead to stress, depression, at risk behaviors and feelings of isolation. The Teen Resilience Program uses the teenager’s everyday life to develop resiliency skills that can result in teens feeling empowered to live a life of less stress and more joy. The group format helps teenagers learn to make lifestyle changes in a fun and supportive environment.

Core Topics:

  • Developing skills and perspectives that empower you to improve your sense of physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual well-being, and to increase your sense of personal choice, self-control and effectiveness.
  • Build an individualized program to enhance your overall health and well-being.
  • Practicing meditation and mindful living to help calm your mind, deal skillfully with emotions, and open your heart to connection with self and others.
  • Learn the latest information on balancing brain chemistry through nutrition and supplements to help you sleep better, feel calmer and improve your mood.

The Teen Resilience groups are offered to Middle School age and Senior High age several times a year.
